My camper-van provides me with a wonderful mobile writing office but is also ideal when I want to get away for the weekend to a music festival which is something I try to do often in Summer months.
One of my favourite festivals is the Wessex Folk Festival in Weymouth, Dorset. It is a free festival and takes place in the area besides the Old Harbour, around Hope Square and at various local venues, including pubs where musicians and singers congregate to sing and jam traditional Irish, English, Scottish and Breton tunes.
The ambiance when I have been there and the weather has been kind has been absolutely wonderful and I am looking forward to going to the Wessex Folk Festival again next year.
Unfortunately, the site where I’ve previously parked up my camper-van for the Wessex Folk Festival weekend is no longer available. So, if you know of a central location in Weymouth where I can park up for the festival weekend, I’d be grateful to hear about it in the comments below.
I hope my photos give some idea of the fun
Have you a camper-van that you use for music festivals? I’d love to hear!
Bye for now
Rob
